Graduate Student Resources and Events

YSOA E-Recruiting-

Online Job posting resource. Log-in with your Yale ID. Contains all job listings and internships sent to the school or posted by potential employers. Includes world-wide postings and some alternative career listings. Allows students to post resumes to be viewed by potential employers. Open to all YSOA students and recent alumni. Questions, contact YSOAcareer@yale.edu.

Annual Career Fair-

On campus event for graduating students to meet and interview with potential employers. Typically held the week after spring break. Announcement of employers and exact dates will be distributed by email prior to spring break. This event is usually preceded by advising sessions on portfolios, resumes and interview techniques. Question, contact YSOAcareer@yale.edu.

Portfolio Workshops–

Group workshops for portfolio techniques are arranged in advance of the 3rd semester portfolio review coordinated by Keith Krumwiede. Students can contact their program advisor (Keith Krumwiede – MArch I, Eeva-Liisa Pelkonen – MArch II & MED) for individual portfolio advising throughout the year. Studio critics are also available for portfolio advising.

Mentoring-

Through eRecruiting, YSOA alumni are available as mentors to current students. Mentors can provide valuable advice about careers or just offer to show students around their office. If you are a Yale alumni interested in becoming a mentor, please contact YSOAcareer@yale.edu.

Yale Undergraduate Career Services, through the University, offers career services and counseling targeted to undergraduates. However, while YSOA career resources are targeted to Gradate Student development, some are accessible to Undergraduate Architecture Majors.

YSOA E-Recruiting – Our online Job and internship posting resource. Please follow the link to register and post all opportunities for current Yale School of Architecture Students and recent graduates.

PLEASE NOTE – The Yale School of Architecture encourages its students to participate in paid office internships. Following completion of the first year, students are available for two month internships (July-August) after participating in the Yale Building Project. Similarly, following the second year most students are available for two to three month internships (June/July – August) after participating in a seminar in Rome. We encourage employers interested in working with Yale students to accommodate these events.
